A prepaid online payment option that works without the use of credit cards, bank accounts, or other personal data is called Paysafecard. Vouchers with a 16-digit PIN code serve as its foundation. Local retailers sell gift cards, which customers can redeem for online payment by entering the code at the website's checkout (much like in an online game). Paysafecard codes cannot be exchanged over the phone or by mail.
At one of the physical points of sale, the customer must purchase the special voucher with the 16-digit PIN in order to use the Paysafecard. The customer uses the voucher code to pay for items they purchase online. The customer can use the online app to view their remaining balance.
